This safari will use accommodation mixed budget lodges and camping depending on location to maximise your confort and at the same time save on your safari budget. From Sweet waters, a vast private game ranch to Samburu National Park Located nearby on ward to Nakuru and Maasai Mara. You shall have a chance to view diverse game and experience the beauty and hospitality of the Kenyan people. Meals are either prepared by our professional cook or provided in lodges. KENYA CAMPING SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 01: NAIROBI - SWEETWATERS
On arrival you will be met by our representative (by morning flight) and commence your safari to the foothills of Mt. Kenya. You will arrive at Nanyuki Town that is situated at Equator for lunch. Soon after lunch you will depart for Sweetwaters Ranch for an afternoon game drive. The reserve area is 24,000 acres which is a private ranch. Among many advantages of visiting this private are, guest can enjoy special activities not permitted in other Kenyan National Parks and Reserves like escorted game walks, night game drives, horse riding etc. In reserve you have an opportunity to see herd of elephants, cheetah, lion, jackal, buffalo, eland oryx and don't forget to visit chimps and rhino sanctuary.
You will return to your hotel in Nanyuki Town for dinner and overnight (LD).
Day 02: SWEETWATERS - SAMBURU
After breakfast, drive further north to Samburu Game Reserve to you campsite located at the banks of the life-giving Uaso Nyiro River. On arrival our staff will set the camp. The campsite has very basic facilities, which include open ground, fresh water tap, pit latrine and communal showers. Lunch will be served in at the campsite. Afternoon game viewing in the reserve filled with the scenic beauty. The reserve is renowned for its unique species of animals that includes Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Generuk and the Grevys Zebra among others. Later return to your campite for dinner and overnight (BLD).
Day 03: SAMBURU
Before dawn your driver guide will be ready for the early morning search of hunting cats. Later you will return to campsite for breakfast and relax at campsite before your next game drive late afternoon. All meals & overnight at campsite (BLD).
Day 04: SAMBURU - LAKE NAKURU
After an early breakfast bid farewell to Samburu as you drive south through Isiolo, crossing the northernmost foothills of Mt. Kenya, until you get to Nanyuki town. Here you'll head west to Nyahururu Falls, still known to many as Thomson's falls for its 237ft cascade. After a brief stopover, drive southward to your next destination, Lake Nakuru a home to a million of flamingoes beautifully lining at its shores. Lake Nakuru National surrounds lake and was gazette to protect the colony of flamingoes as well as provide sanctuary for the endangered species as such the rhino. Other Savannah games are abounded in and not mention other bird species.
You will check-in at HOTEL GENEVEIVE for lunch, which is situated at Nakuru Town. Later you depart for an afternoon game drive around the lakeshore with be the feature for the afternoon, dinner & overnight at HOTEL GENEVEIVE (BLD).
Day 05: LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA
Early breakfast at your hotel and depart the flamingo fringed Lake Nakuru and proceed southwards and turn right at Maai Mahiu to ascend up over the top of the Mau Escarpment and proceed to Masai Mara. Masai Mara crown's the climax of every safari in Kenya for it's breathtaking views, wildlife and birdlife wealth. It boarders Serengeti to the north and supports a huge number of games e.g. large herds of elephant, rhino, giraffe, buffalo and their predators abound e.g. lion, leopard, crocodile etc and not to mention the spectacular annual migration of wildbeests, zebras, gazelles.
Lunch to be served at Narok Town. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at one of the excellent permanent campsite with good facilities as such big permanent tents, dinning tent, hot shower, beds etc.
On arrival at Masai Mara you will be served with Kenyan coffee at our permanent campsite before proceeding for a late afternoon game drive. Later you will return to the campsite where our experienced cook will serve you with continental dinner. Fire will be at the campsite for the rest of the evening, overnight at our permanent campsite (BLD).
Day 06: MASAI MARA
The day will start with an early morning game drive before dawn and later return to your camp for breakfast and relax for the rest of late morning and perhaps take a dip at the swimming pool at one of the lodges situated next to our campsite at your cost. Later, late afternoon return to the wilderness in search of games, all meals and overnight at our permanent campsite (BLD).
Day 07: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI
Soon after breakfast, with game drive en route drive back to Nairobi with lunch en-route arriving mid -afternoon.
